Two jobs in one city
Villains create the cash pressure. Heroes answer it. Both sides spend into the same power shop. Neither side is a tutorial you graduate out of.
Villain session
Use this side when you need map knowledge or NanoTech money.
- Pick a target from How to make money.
- Run the entry, objective, exit, and sell from How to rob.
- Leave before a downed arrest. The prison path is in Escape prison.
After the V2 systems pass, villains can choose a teleport destination instead of a random drop. That is the main travel tool when you do not yet own Flight or Super Speed. The hero tower flashing red means the robbery is advertised. Finish or leave.
Day-one power: Invisibility. Failure mode: greed plus jail.
Hero session
Use this side when you want fight practice that still pays.
- Watch the tower. Community V2 showcases describe red during a live robbery and a calmer blue when the city is clear.
- Rotate with Flight, Super Speed, or post-rework Spider swing if you already own one. Otherwise run the streets you learned as a villain.
- Win the fight with PVP habits, then arrest during the downed window. A chase that ignores the down is a free reset for the robber.
- Spend the same cash the villains are farming.
Day-one powers: Super Strength or Super Speed. The hero shield and reveal tools are in Gadgets. Failure mode: chasing one player while Vault or Military Base pays out somewhere else.
Quick comparison
| Question | Villain | Hero |
|---|---|---|
| Fastest cash lesson | Robbery loops | Medium, through arrests and stops |
| Main system | Bounty and prison | Tower alerts and arrest windows |
| First power | Invisibility | Strength or Speed |
| Best lab | Contested exits | Most of the session |
When to swap
Swap to villain when you need deterministic cash. Swap to hero when you want arrest practice. Swap after a patch guts your power, then reread Patch notes. Later updates also make NPCs react to reputation. That is information, not a substitute for blocking.
